Initial Jail Bids Coming In On Target

Initial bids on foundation work for the new Lawrence County jail have come in below the project estimate.

Seven different companies submitted bids on five phases of the project, however officials indicated that three phases failed to garner a bidder at all.

Jail project construction manager Lashlee-Rich has been instructed to solicit three quotes on those three phases so that work will be able to proceed as quickly as possible.
